If your new vehicle is equipped with power adjustable front seats, here’s how to operate them. Look for this switch on the side of the seat. Slide it forward or backward and the seat will move in that direction.
To make the seat recline, move this recline switch backward until you achieve the desired position. To bring it back upright, move the switch forward and lean forward. The seatback will return to a more upright position.
If so equipped, the switch you use to move the seat forward and back can also be used as a seat lifter, adjusting the angle and height of the seat cushion. Move the front or rear end of the switch up or down to adjust the angle of the cushion. Then push down, or pull up on the middle of the switch to adjust the height of the cushion.
The lumbar support feature, if so equipped, provides lower back support to the driver. If your driver’s seat is equipped with power lumbar support, push the front or back end of this switch to adjust the seat’s lumbar area.
If your vehicle is equipped with manual front seat adjustments, please refer to your Owner’s Manual for further details.
The second-row captain’s chairs can also be adjusted for comfort. Reach down and find this lever under the seat. Pull up while you slide the seat forward or backward to a desired position. Release the lever to lock the seat in that position. To recline the second-row seats, locate this lever on the side of the seat base. Pull up and lean back. To bring the seatback upright, pull the lever and lean forward. When returning any seatback to the upright position, always be certain it is completely secured in the latched position.
To recline third-row bench seats, locate either of these straps on the seat cushions. Pull the strap and lean back. To bring the seatback upright, pull the strap and lean forward. Release the strap to lock the seatback in position.
The second and third-row seats can be folded and stowed, to create extra storage space when needed.
To fold the second-row captain’s chairs, first lower the head restraints and secure the seat belts in the hooks on the side walls. Then lift up on the lever on the seat base to fold the seatback flat over the seat cushion. To return the second-row seats to a seating position, push the seatbacks up into position and reset the seat belts and head restraints.
When returning the seatback to the upright position always be certain it is completely secured in the latched position.
For added ease when getting into or out of the third-row bench seat, pull up on this lever, located on the outside of the second-row seatbacks. The seatback will fold forward and the seat base will slide forward, making it easier for third-row passengers to enter or exit.
To fold the third-row bench seat down for extra storage, first disconnect the rear center seat belt. Release the shoulder strap from the buckle by inserting a key or other suitable tool into the slot on the side of the buckle. Retract the belt and attach it securely to the retractor base on the ceiling. Then lower the headrests and secure the outboard seat belts in the hooks on the side walls. Now pull on the reclining straps to fold the seatbacks flat over the seat cushion. From the cargo area, you can pull on these straps to manually fold the third-row bench seats forward.
The switches on either side of the cargo area can also be used to fold the third-row bench seats. Push the front of the switch to fold the seatbacks forward. Push and hold the back of the switch to bring the seatbacks upright.
When you return the rear seats to the vertical position, be sure to properly reset the head restraints, headrests and seat belts, and ensure the seat is locked into position.
