I made this homemade lift for my new Wrangler. Took about 2 1/2 hours once I measured, cut installed, etc.
Used 4 ratchet straps to eye bolts and rather than hooking directly to the hardtop, I used canvas straps on the inside.
I had the ratchet straps ($0), the straps on the inside to make the sling were given to me by a GREAT guy at the Danbury EMS store. I purchased the lag bolts, eye bolts, washers and 2x4s for $22.
Not bad… Post comments! Thanks.
This video will walk you through how to use the Yukon Charlie’s Ratchet Binding System, an easy to use feature we use on our Sherpa series snowshoes. http://yukoncharlies.com
Hey snowshoers, its Bill from Yukon Charlie’s here, to show you what you need to know about our fast fit one pull binding system
Our fast fit binding is designed to accommodate and quickly adjust to most any winter footwear
There is a left and right show the buckles always face to the outside so that to tighten the user pulls inward towrds the middle
We suggest for the fisrt time you adjust the binding indoors prior to heading out this way you will familierize yourself with how it all works.
Start by adjusting the back strap which uses a belt buckle type closure so that your heel hits the heel plate and the ball of your foot is somewhat centered over the axle. Make sure you use the retainner clip to secure the back strap after adjusting
Now just grasp the fast fit strap and pull towrd the middle cinching up the binding around your boot.
You’re ready to go. To realese the binding simply grab the release tether and pull towrds the outside and your out.
